But there are still secrets to be revealed and until the truth comes out into the open, there will be bitterness between them. But now Sebastian is bitter because of his belief that Naomi betrayed and broke his heart when he offered her everything. He has never forgotten Naomi until she returns into his life and thus the games between them begin again. Repossession is 9/10ths of the Law is tagged as contemporary, humor, suspense, m-m, mystery. I won’t say much about it, because I liked learning about Jeremy’s past along the way with Will. Jeremy’s background, and the gutting emotional wound that brought him and his sexy Scottish accent to Vermont and into Will’s orbit, is original and adds to his emotional layers. Will is trying to move on from a devastating loss, so at first he is tentative, then eventually eager to enjoy another chance at love, all while second guessing himself and Jeremy as happens in a new relationship. ![]() Both are mature men, in their late thirties, which is a nice change for a gay romance. Will’s love interest is Jeremy, and their coming together and drifting apart and coming together again was depicted in a believable and understandable manner. Neil Plakcy expertly allows the reader to feel as if they are reading a modern day take on an Austen novel, and it was wonderfully soothing and engaging. ![]() Jane Austen’s books are prominently discussed and critiqued by the main character, Will (whose full name is Fitzwilliam and I immediately wanted to name someone that), who is an English professor teaching a sharp group of students during a J-term, or short winter term, class. This story has a lovely, gradually sweeping feel of romance to it. It features characters from Brigham Vaughn’s 'Snowstorms and Second Chances, along with 'Snowflakes and Song Lyrics' and The Cupid Crawl by Hank Edwards but can be read as a standalone story. ![]() ![]() ![]() She wrote the book on how not to be famous. Judy Garland was born not only without an even keel but without a keel of any sort. What with 24 hour celebwatch channels and Heat magazine and Walmart selling kits on how to liposuct your own baby it's not easy to keep an even keel. Do we really need to know that Marlon Brando and J Edgar Hoover were lovers? Or that Richard Nixon sired a love child in 1960 who later briefly married Britney Spears? And this thing about Prince Harry - well, I can never look at a koala bear in quite the same way again. ![]() It's good that biography isn't hagiography, and if you go round censoring the lurid aspects of your subject you're now engaged in PR which is a whole other thing. LADY GAGA AND PRINCE HARRY - FINALLY THE TRUTH ![]() ![]() ![]() The report is poorly written, poorly researched, makes unsubstantiated claims, and reaches an illogical conclusion. ![]() No organizations outside of the United States have adopted their conclusions. ![]() Since release of the report, other national medical organizations have rejected infant circumcision as unwarranted medically and as ethically unacceptable. The report promoted expansion of the procedure as well as the revenue streams for those who perform it. The Task Force deviated from standard practices in its analysis of the medical literature thereby producing a report that falls far below the quality standards set by other AAP policy statements. The Task Force neglected to discuss the anatomy, function, and normal development of the foreskin, nor did they discuss the harm or ethical consequences associated with circumcision. A close analysis of the report reveals the Task Force used a selective, subjective and biased bibliography to support their predetermined conclusions. ![]() In September of 2012, the American Academy of Pediatrics Task Force on Circumcision released its report, which concluded that the benefits of the procedure outweighed the risks. ![]() |
